Sometimes you have to strain your eyes to thread a needle, especially if you want to work on the sewing machine when it gets dark. Yes, sewing machines are equipped with LED lamps, which is very good, but sometimes it is still difficult to thread the needle. An automatic needle threader comes to the rescue.
Now technologies are not standing still and many sewing machines are being equipped with an automatic needle threader. With its help you can easily and quickly thread the needle without straining your eyes.
How to use it? It’s very simple.
This is how the Singer automatic needle threader looks like.
Step 1. Turn off the sewing machine, thread the top of the machine as in the thread guide (see the article on How to Thread a Sewing Machine).
Step 2. Raise the needle to its highest position and lower the presser foot.
Step 3. Gently lower the needle threader and pass the thread into the hook.
Step 4. Fully lower the needle threader by pulling the thread to the right and catching it on the hook, which will pass through the eye of the needle.
Step 5. Release the needle threader lever while holding the thread. The automatic threader will pull the thread through the eye of the needle.
Step 6. Carefully, with a hand or tweezers, pull the thread out and towards the back of the machine about 4 inches.
Step 7. Before sewing, pull the thread into the opening in the presser foot.
Think of that, we threaded the needle in such an easy and fast way. This device is handy and you already know how to use it.
Here’s wishing you success in everything you do. Good luck!
Although I have a different sewing machine, the process is almost the same. Thanks!
